IFC Model Compare is for comparing a baseline IFC model with a revised IFC model. It reports added, removed, changed and unchanged objects so a reviewer can focus on evidence instead of relying only on visual appearance.
This is useful during revision coordination, handover checks and model-review conversations where the key question is what changed and where to look next.
The current tool data describes object matching and change evidence, including GlobalId-based matching. The comparison is presented as reported evidence and summary output, not as a visual geometry heatmap or an automated design-approval workflow.
Model Compare pairs naturally with BCF issue tracking when a reported change needs follow-up, and with federation when several disciplines are being reviewed together. Keep source-model identity and revision intent clear so the comparison has a meaningful baseline.
