Website privacy.
IFC Viewer is developed by Jamie Ward. For website privacy or support questions, email ifcviewerapp@gmail.com. The Apple app has a separate app privacy policy.
Browsing this website
The website has no advertising or analytics scripts. Search and filters run in your browser. We do not use marketing cookies. Cloudflare may process connection and security information to deliver and protect the website and the dormant account service.
Existing account records
If you previously created an IFC Viewer account, we may retain your email address, first name, last name, optional company or organisation, and the account, access and security records needed to preserve and protect that account. Account records may also be the durable link for Viewer access, trials, Pro Tool ownership and Apple/Web entitlement federation.
Authentication is passwordless. Secure, single-use email links verify or sign you in, and session and security records protect the account. Resend delivers these transactional account emails from the verified IFC Viewer sender.
Purchases and access
Paddle handled Web payment processing. IFC Viewer does not store card details. The service retains the IFC Viewer account linkage, product/access mapping, provider references, webhook receipts and entitlement state needed to preserve purchased access. Apple purchase federation uses Apple-signed transaction data; the production verification service on Google Cloud verifies that signed data before IFC Viewer accepts an Apple access claim.
Local IFC handling
IFC model files opened in the preserved browser application are read and processed locally in the browser. The application does not upload the IFC file to the IFC Viewer account service. Features that use an online reference or account service send only the request-specific information needed for that feature, not the IFC model file.
Support requests
When you submit through the live support form, we use your email address and the information you choose to provide to investigate and respond. A private support database records the report and an email notification is sent to our Gmail support inbox. Your report is not published on a public issue board and you do not need an account.
If online submission is unavailable, the page prepares a report locally instead. Nothing is sent until you send the prepared email. Preparing, copying or saving a report does not create a server ticket.
Keep project files private
There is no IFC or attachment upload on the marketing or support site. Do not include confidential model data, passwords, payment details or other people’s personal information. Only share a redacted screenshot by email if it is safe and relevant.
Service providers and abuse prevention
Cloudflare provides website and application hosting, account data storage, request security and Turnstile anti-abuse checks for support. Turnstile may process device and network signals. Security controls store keyed representations of request data for rate limiting rather than exposing raw values in application records. Resend delivers account emails, Paddle processes payment records, Google Cloud runs the Apple signed-transaction verifier, and Gmail receives support notifications. These providers process information under their own service and privacy terms.
Your account choices and requests
Existing customers can contact ifcviewerapp@gmail.com about account access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions. A deletion request starts the current account workflow; it does not erase transaction records held independently by Apple or Paddle.
Retention
The support service is configured to remove database report records after 90 days. Short-lived support rate-limit records are removed separately. Email conversations may be kept longer to handle ongoing support. Account, access, security and transaction-linkage records are retained as needed to operate and protect the account; no additional fixed account-retention period is claimed here. We do not use support submissions for marketing.
External links
App Store, email, Paddle checkout and other external links open separate services. The official App Store badge may load from Apple if it has not been stored with the website assets.
